John 15:1-8 -1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the keeper of the vineyard. 2He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.

5I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are gathered up, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to My Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, proving yourselves to be My disciples..

Dear Pastors and Sunday School teachers -

As you embark on the noble task of nurturing and guiding God's flock, remember the profound truth found in John 15:1-8. It is so practical! Just as a branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can we bear fruit unless we abide in Christ.

Your labor in teaching and ministering is not in vain when rooted in Christ. Remain steadfast in Him, drawing strength, wisdom, and guidance from His Word and Spirit. As you abide in Him, you will bear much fruit, (that’s a promise!) and your work will have a lasting impact on the lives of those you serve.

Take heart in knowing that God is the vinedresser, ever tending to His vineyard. He prunes and refines us, not to harm us, but to make us more fruitful. Embrace His pruning, (which can be painful) trusting that it is for your growth and the glory of His kingdom.

May you find joy and fulfillment in your service, knowing that your labor in the Lord is never in vain. Keep abiding in Christ, and He will sustain you, empower you, and lead you to bear abundant fruit for His glory. Blessings in Christ –  A.H...
